Dear José,
I am very excited about this monthly newsletter that I am about to start, and I am thrilled to have you on board You are in this list either because you already subscribed to it; because you came to one of my concerts or workshops; or because I know you personally and I thought you might be interested in receiving it. I will be sending out one email per month (maximum two, only on special occasions); and you don’t need to worry about spam emails or me sharing your email with anyone. Needless to say, you can unsubscribe whenever you want to (no hard feelings, I won’t even notice ☺).
My wish is that this space will bring us closer. It will be different than social media, as there will be no competition with thousands of other posts and endless information. I want this to be a calm and heartwarming space, and since I didn’t want it to be only about my upcoming events, I decided to add some extra spiciness to it. There will always be a surprise “inspiration corner”, in which I might be sharing what I have been listening to, giving you a song from another album, sharing a curious fact about my life, a recording from a rehearsal, or an excerpt from a book I love… I will also be sharing exclusive content and offer special deals, such as discounted tickets for live performances and workshops. APRIL IN COLOMBIA
Right now, I am in Bogotá, Colombia, where I will be staying until the end of April. I am very happy to see the community of vocal improvisation and Circle Singing growing here; the feedback we get from participants after these sessions is always so powerful and beautiful, and I feel very grateful for witnessing the impact that this work has in people’s lives My dear colleague Rizumik and I have been working intensely this month, facilitating workshops in Bogotá and Medellin. We just came back from the gorgeous region of “El Chocó”, in the Pacific Coast of Colombia, where we lead a four days retreat. It was simply magical, and I hope there will be more opportunities to sing again in that paradise
MAY IN NEW YORK
In May I will be back in New York, where I will be working on my new album (which I can’t wait to share with you), as well as performing once again with my quartet on May 10 at “Club Bonafide”. VOCAL RETREAT IN EUROPE IN JUNE
